Q: Can This Planet's products be customised to suit my business requirements?
A: Yes. All our products can be customised to meet your business needs. Our technical team will work with you to understand your business requirements, develop a project scope and provide a fix priced cost that will be surprisingly affordable.

Q: What are the training options?
A: There are several training options -

On-line training packages
Ad-hoc on-line training
Training at your place or
Training at our Sunshine Coast Training Labs in Queensland, Australia.

Comprehensive training programs are available on request.

Q: How do I transfer information from my current system(s) into my new software?
A: Detailed information on how to enter data into your new system is provided in the User’s manual.

Alternatively, This Planet’s technical team can upload information from a range of sources including MYOB, access, word excel or existing systems into your new software. There is a fixed cost for this service.

Q: Do I need to pay a licensing fee every year?
A: No. There is a one-off licensing fee paid for each user. An Essentials pack for each product includes licensing for 3 concurrent users and a Sybase database. Additional users and databases can be purchased as required.

Q: What type of support is available?
A: There is an annual support fee that provides you with unlimited email and telephone support. It also entitles you to all general upgrades to your system during that year.

There is an additional level support, remote database support, which allows our technical team remote access to your software to troubleshoot any problems you may experience. This level of support also includes our technical team installing your updates.

Q: I do not have a server but I want to access my software 24 hours day, 7 days a week. Can this Planet help?
A: Yes. We can arrange for your software to be hosted at a dedicated, purpose built site in Brisbane managed by a third party who specialises in this service. This service has a set-up fee and small monthly fee for each user.

Q: Is there a user’s manual?
A: Yes. There is a user’s manual available for each product. The manuals are called 'This Planet’s Guide to Venus, Jupiter and Saturn'.

Q: What are the system requirements?
A: All our products require less than 100 Mb of disc space.

Q: What platforms are supported?
A: Our products are compatible with

Microsoft Windows 2000
Microsoft Windows XP
Microsoft Windows Vista

Our products can also be installed on a UNIX system such as Linux.

Q: Are they Microsoft products?
A: No, all our systems are built on a Sybase database. However, we use a Microsoft interface so that the screen layout, navigation, hotkeys and edit functions are intuitive and familiar.

Q: What is a Sybase database?
A: At the core of all This Planet’s products is a Sybase database. Sybase databases are scaleable to grow with your business and they are robust.

In independent US tests the Sybase database demonstrated high performance running more than 1,300 connected users on a single database with 30 million records. Source Sybase www.sybase.com.au

The Sybase database allows This Planet to provide to our customers a corporate solution without the corporate price tag.

Q: Can This Planet’s products run over multiple sites and database?
A: Yes. Our systems can be installed on a single PC, on a server and operate over LANs and WANs.

We have customer’s running our systems with multiple databases across multiple branches and States and with multiple logos.

Connecting by remote access can be via VPN, Terminal Server or dial-up and is only limited by your infrastructure. If your infrastructure is a limitation we can provide you with a software hosting service that is much more affordable than upgrading your infrastructure.

Q: Is the software easy to install?
A: Yes. Detailed installation instructions are provided and you do not need to be an IT professional to install our software. However, if you need a little hand holding our technical team will be happy to help.
